# Columbia Square
> This site provides updates on the redevelopment project for Columbia Square in New Westminster, led by community builder EDGAR. EDGAR purchased the site in 2022 and has been engaging the community on their vision for a new downtown gateway. A significant milestone was reached on October 28, 2024, with the Zoning Bylaw amendment receiving third reading. The site outlines upcoming planning stages, including master planning and design, and encourages continued community engagement.
